THE INVESTORS CLUB
It's not a club, it's a sales outfit.
Dear Neil
My wife and I have the opportunity of buying one or more investment properties through The Investors Club in Queensland which was started up by Kevin & Kathy Young in 1995.
They apparently also have a real estate business under the name of KY Realty Pty Ltd.
Their literature says they have settled over 600 properties to their Club members (investors) since commencing in 1995.
The address of KY Realty Pty Ltd is 820 Old Cleveland Rd, Carina, Qld 4152.
They appear to be legitimate - their seminars are free and they give very good service.
Have you come across them? Do you know of any bad reports concerning them?
Thank you

Please do not use the word "opportunity" in this context.
The Investors Club is not a club, but a marketing organisation which receives enormous fees for flogging properties for developers.
Describing it as a club is as misleading as those other spruikers (such as Henry Kaye, George Mihos, Paul Murphy et al) calling their companies "institutes". It's all part of the legitimate look that spruikers manufacture in order to lure consumers. Yes, you.
Kevin Young is among the cast of characters for the book I am writing. Recently he wrote me a nice letter inviting me to interview him. I am looking forward to it.
A few days before his nice letter arrived, I received another not-so-nice letter threatening me with legal action if I continued to send consumers a copy of a lengthy newspaper article about Young and his company.
The article includes a quote from one of Queensland's most respected property valuers, "The Investors Club is nothing more than a pretend form of organisation to sell overpriced and overvalued real estate to unsophisticated and gullible purchasers."
If you'd like a copy of the article, let me know and I'll email it to you.
