Back in 1991 we were looking for a new home where we could both work from home. This was a very rare occurrence then! My wife was a physiotherapist and needed a reception area, treatment room and a toilet nearby. We had set all that up in the home we were in.

We looked at many properties in person in pre-internet days and even sent out a specification to all major agents in the area (hardly any sensible replies). However, we really needed a floor plan to work it out. We looked at one house and an agent said “What are you looking for?” and we said “Have you seen our specification?”. Can you fax us floor plans of houses you have that might be suitable. We received five and one of them was the house we lived in for 23.5 years. Therefore I cannot agree with you this week as I think floor plans are the most important. Floor plans can be added to but are usually hard to change.
