Urgent letter to Scott Morrison MP
Minister for Immigration and Border Protection

Dear Mr Morrison,This email is to request you look at a man who is entering our country later this week.  His name is Jordan Belfort aka ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’.  Mr Belfort is coming to Australia and holding Sales and Business Seminars around our country. I don’t understand how a convicted criminal can come to Australia and charge Australians high prices to attend his seminars to teach the same system that he himself admits he once used to defraud thousands of people out of hundreds of millions of dollars of their savings. He even jokes about this point.

Why must this man make a laughing stock of us and our immigration laws?

I implore you to look at why this man has been granted entry to Australia.  He is a convicted criminal in the USA.  If  Australians with his criminal record wanted to visit the USA, never mind work there, they wouldn’t be allowed in. The US government doesn’t want foreign people of ‘moral turpitude’ entering their country.

On the Department of Immigration website Fact Sheet No 79 The Character Requirement  it is stated that The Minister for Immigration and Border Protection and the department have the power to refuse or cancel a visa on the basis that a person does not pass the character test.”  Jordan Belfort does not seem to meet these requirements.

I urge you to examine this case immediately as Mr Belfort is on his way here right now.

Yours sincerely,

Neil Jenman
