But you’re rude and distasteful, Mr Jenman.
This comment is in response to a message received from Daniel Glushevski which can be viewed by clicking here.
I think you are an extremely rude and distasteful person, and I don’t know where you get off judging other people like you’re as pure as spring water.
First off, I don’t see you putting too much blame on Westan Johnson or his brother, Alvin Johnson.
Is that because they’re “Aussies” and not Americans?
And, for your information, I don’t appreciate you putting some quote on your website from Michele Johnson describing Buffalo, NY as a wasteland. Maybe you should get someone more reputable in your articles the next time you want to try and slander a few people.
Second, I don’t see you, Mr. Big Shot Writer, giving Kathy any of your money. If you care so much, why don’t you spend your time trying to help people in her situation?
Instead you would rather take the situation as an opportunity to slander an American Businessman, who happens to be in fact a devout Christian. I know this because Daniel Glushefski happens to be my uncle.
And, I’m not writing this letter just because he’s my family, because to be honest with you we’ve never gotten along and I don’t agree with the way he does business. It’s not a very ethical way to do business.
But who does take a truly ethical approach to business?
Capitalism itself is a ruthless principle. I’m sure things are not so different in Australia, so please don’t act like unethical behavior is some unheard of phenomenon. I’m sure you’re not the most honest person in the world either.
Also, I would like to point out that Kathy, even though I am very sorry for her situation, made the choice to invest on her own. Westan Johnson’s assistant was the one who wooed her into investing in the Upstate NY market, and she allowed that. Kathy is a grown woman who is not incompetent or insane. She had the right to say no. If she chooses to sink her life savings into a risky market, that’s really no ones fault but her own. It’s a harsh thing to say, but it’s true.
If you’re going to invest in the real estate market, you have to be prepared to go through some hardships. Therefore, I think it’s time for you to stop this ridiculous witch hunt, and go do something productive with your time.
By the way please don’t chop up my letter and only put whatever makes you look good on your website, if you do in fact do that, because that would be unethical.
Vanessa Glushefski, Buffalo, NY. USA
Dear Vanessa Thank you for your message. I am pleased that you took the time to write and confirm that your Uncle Dan is dodgy.
As for Westan Johnson and his brother, Alvin, I have written about them in my article, American Tragedy.
As for helping Kathy, the victim in this scam, I will be happy to match you dollar for dollar in whatever amount you choose to donate. You can make a contribution at this link.
Finally, I am well aware that the price of helping and protecting Aussie consumers from the likes of your Uncle Dan is abuse and threats and all sorts of vile retribution. It’s a price I have paid for several years and will continue to pay for as long as I continue to speak out about dodgy characters.
